Avril Lavigne Gives the Middle Finger to TMZ

Avril Lavigne, a rocker with an attitude, had went through a lot of name calling since the beginning of her career. But what she can't take is people accusing her of plagerizing. The band that's filing the lawsuit is TMZ, a band from the 1970s. They claim that Lavigne and Gottwald's "Girlfriend" has 5 words that are copied from TMZ's "I Want To Be Your Boyfriend". She admits that her song has some similar lyrics to other songs written by the Rolling Stones and Ramones, but emphasized that many songs use similar words to express common feelings. Not very surprising to me that some dated band wants to make a profit by suing newer bands for plagerism.
